Hi John,

No arguments with you there, FF3 does crash. In the week I've been using it (I didn't bother with the BETA cycle) though I can't say it's crashed more than FF2 did or more than Flock/Safari, the other browsers I use.

The one problem I *am* having at the moment is with upgrading Flash. I have upgraded it manually but it is still not quite working. I am hoping that a reboot will solve that.

One resource I have found for issues you are having with FF3 is <a hre"http://twitter.com/firefox_answers" rel="nofollow">@firefox_answers. Ask your question on twitter and more likely than not, they will respond.

Thanks for the comment!

I like Firefox 3, including the "awesome bar," but in my experience FF3 crashes more often than FF2 or IE7. FF3 crashes several times a week. Fortunately it restarts quickly and remembers what tabs were open when it crashed.

Hi Cal, thanks for the mention!

We are working on providing some more in-depth explanation of how PostRank works; I know that question has been asked a fair bit.

To extend the use of PostRank analysis, folks can add our widget to their sites, too, which displays those "greatest hits" posts and shares them with others. (Also a great way to get a read on the quality and consistency of new blogs you're checking out.)

Loving the bite-sized analysis of what's going on out there!

Cal Evans,

I am thinking of getting your report on Twitter as my own birthday gift on May 25. I have linked to your post and written a Twitter message.

Thanks for producing the podcast. Just a browser compatibility heads up. When I go to the "Become a minute man" page, I see a couple problems when using IE7, though not with FireFox. IE7 shows "the web page cannot be found" in the top right and at the bottom of the page. The page looks fine with FireFox.

@SpaceNinja,
(Regarding the comment over on iTunes)

I do respect how this episode could be interpreted as telling people that they don't need a designer; however that was not the intent. (It is a shortcoming of the 60 second format that I can't cover the topic in the depth that it sometimes deserves.)

I think that both designers and programmers are not only necessary, they are important. However, I also know that there are times when people just need to get something up there. I've seen too many designers and programmers - both professional and amatuer - miss what a client was saying and deliver a project that while beautiful, feature rich, missed the point of what the client needed, which was simple and NOW.

Wordpress makes an excellent, simple CMS. There are many plugins available for it and lot of free and not free themes. It makes a great platform to get up and running on. In almost every case where I've deployed Wordpress and a free skin, the client has wanted to spend a few dollars extra and have a designer step in and create a custom theme. I'm always happy to point them in the right direction.

In the interest of total disclosure, I'm married to a web designer, the lovely and talented Kathy, so it's a real bad idea for me to be too hard on designers. :)

Thanks for the comment, I hope you will continue to listen and if you've got further comments, feel free to post them here we everybody can discuss them.
